Terms of Service

1. What HomeSteward is

HomeSteward helps you create structured home records, track assets, store documents, understand maintenance priorities, receive reminders, and export reports. It uses rules, model assumptions, and AI-assisted extraction to identify assets, dates, maintenance events, risks, and information gaps.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account unless it results from our breach or failure to apply reasonable security measures.

3. Subscription plans and trial

HomeSteward offers two paid subscription plans:

Both plans include a one-month free trial. A payment method is required to start your trial. Your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand. Payments are processed by a third-party provider. You can cancel via Account Settings or the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current trial or billing period. Refunds are handled in accordance with our Subscription, Trial, Cancellation and Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.

4. Your content and documents

You may upload property documents and other materials, but you must have the right to upload and use them. You retain ownership of your content but grant us permission to store, process, analyse, and display it to provide the service. Please upload only documents you are entitled to use and avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive personal data.

5. AI-assisted extraction

AI-assisted extraction may be used to identify assets, dates, maintenance events, and information gaps from your uploaded documents. AI outputs may be inaccurate and are presented as suggestions until you review and confirm them. AI does not replace professional judgement. Our AI providers are not permitted to use your documents to train general models.

6. Reports and exports

You may export reports and data from HomeSteward. Every exported report includes a limitations statement that must not be removed or obscured. HomeSteward reports are not surveys, valuations, safety certificates, legal reports, insurance assessments, or compliance documents.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, upload unlawful or unauthorised materials, use HomeSteward as a substitute for professional assessments, or interfere with the service or other users. See our Acceptable Use Policy for full details.

8. Service availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may be updated, suspended, modified, or discontinued. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where possible.

9. Intellectual property

HomeSteward and its intellectual property belong to Impetus Productions Ltd or its licensors. You may use the service only as permitted by these Terms.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Notice explains how we collect and use your personal data and forms part of the information you should read before using the service.

11. Limitation of liability

Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for losses arising from reliance on HomeSteward instead of professional advice, or from incomplete or inaccurate data you have entered. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, misuse, non-payment, or security, legal, or operational risks. You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to your mandatory consumer rights.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
